How do I upload content to my Vizon player?

TThe first thing you'll want to do once you've obtained your content is to upload it to your online media library. Your media library is accessible anywhere you're logged into your account, and houses all of your content. Before a schedule of any sort can be programmed, you must first add content to your library. The following knowledgebase article explains how to upload content from your local desktop.

What You'll Need

  • Mvix Vizon
  • Vizonsignage.com CMS Application
  • Internet Connectivity
  • Media library with content you wish to schedule

If you meet the requirements listed above, simply follow these steps to upload content successfully to your online media library.

  • Log into VizonSignage.com and select "Media" from the dashboard screen.
  • You may also click on "Media Library" on the Left navigation bar to navigate to your Media Library
  • You should now be in your Media Library. Your media library is organized by type of content: Images, Videos, and RSS feeds.

To upload images:

 
  • Navigate to your Media library using the steps provided above. Then, Click the "Images" button on the left-hand side of your screen.
  • Click the green "Upload" button in the top right corner of your media library.
  • Then, on the dialogue box that opens, you will see a list of supported file types. To begin uploading, select the blue "Browse" button.
  • Navigate your file browser and select an image or images that you wish to upload to the CMS.
  • Once you have selected your image or images, the upload progress will begin. You will see a progress bar indicating your elapsed upload and how much is remaining.
  • If an image file has uploaded successfully, you will now see it listed in your media library.

To upload videos:

  • Navigate to your Media library using the steps provided above. Then, Click the "Videos" button on the left-hand side of your screen.
  • Click the green "Upload" button in the top right corner of your media library.
  • Then, on the dialogue box that opens, you will see a list of supported file types. To begin uploading, select the blue "Browse" button.
  • Navigate your file browser and select an video or videos that you wish to upload to the CMS.
  • Once you have selected your video or videos, the upload progress will begin. You will see a progress bar indicating your elapsed upload and how much is remaining.
  • If an video file has uploaded successfully, you will now see it listed in your media library.

To upload RSS Feeds:

 
  • Navigate to your Media library using the steps provided above. Then, Click the "RSS" button on the left-hand side of your screen.
  • Click the green "Add new" button in the top right corner of your media library.
  • In the "RSS name" text box, add the name of the RSS feed that you will be adding.
  • In the "Description" field, add a description for this RSS feed
  • In the "URL" field, add the URL of the RSS feed that you wish to add to the CMS.
  • Select an update interval to determine how often your device checks this feed for new content.
  • Select "Save Changes" and your RSS feed will be added to your account.
  • If an RSS feed has been added successfully, you will now see it listed in your media library.
